postlinearity: Grandmothers, and the Wisdom the World Needs

How did grandmothers get that wise?
  • gregorylent · 11 months ago
let no one say the western mind cannot do koans ... that is a great one .... and after i popped back out on the other side, one of several things i was left with, was a greater respect for all of those saints and sages, such as ramana maharshi, who say that everything is predestined, there is no choice.

so i have decided to retire this blog in the certainty that all is written, life is what it is, all are on the way to being grandmothers, that the world is a school wherein wisdom comes when it comes, and chaos is completely necessary.

until the next time, when i find myself writing something else.

    thanks

Perhaps Grandmothers got that wise the way most people did before mandatory schooling: they learned from THEIR Grandmothers who were part of their lives the way no longer exists for most families. Some societies are wise enough to revere their elders instead of locking them away and forgetting them. Now is the time to capture their wisdom before it is lost forever because their children and grandchildren have not yet paid attention to it.

It is undeniable that most of the time, though we hate to admit it, we would rather be right, than be wise. A bequeathed eye opener from shared by the wisdom of our grandmothers that often get neglected.

i think they got their wisdom through their experiences in life. "being right is very costly" i agree to this one just like in business taxes are very costly that why some businessmen dont state their true financial statements.

It does not matter what culture they live in, or what language they speak, or what level of education they have.
